Mothers Day lovelyness

Happy Monday everyone

So were we all spoilt...... Spending the day with little ones and mummies???? I had the very best weekend. We got to do some planting, I also got loads of handmade goodies from my boys.

 Finn sowed the cyan peppers... I love to make chilli!!

Frazer sowed the parsley.....

All very precise!!

Look at my wee boys aren't they jut too cute!!!

I love this one..... Frazer chose mummy, Finn & Frazer's fave colours!!

This is getting kept in the ever growing memory suitcaase bag!!!

Finn even coloured in my best mummy pic just right, brown hair and a purple dress!!!


Me and the boys even go out for a wee meal too

So to round up, I had the best day ever!!!! The boys were as good as gold. And I was proud to be a mummy. My wee dotes :) xx

Laura Ashley Alteration Tah-Dah!!!

Hey there peeps 

Well that's another Friday creeped up on us!! Where did the week go... I have had a week filled with sewing, school work and very little house work!!

As you know Friday night is movie night at chez Traci! Tonight the boys are opting for THOR, I'm loving that the boys are choosing actual movies and not cartoons! Gone are the days of iggle piggle! I wave them bye with much happiness, I never did see the educational reason for a show with a farting ship!!!! I mean come on!! 

Anyways on to the alteration Traci your waffeling on........

This alteration was for a Laura Ashley dress, The dress was for a petite lady....

I needed to shorten the shoulder straps by 2 inches......

I also had to drop the neck line at the back of the dress by say 1 inch, it would have been to high....

I then had to ladder stitch the arm hole closed again...

I then raised the hem with a ladder stitch by say 1.5 inches & the same with the lining..

AND HERE SHE IS!!!!!!!

 All done....

I have to say I am enjoying the challenge of alterations... There is a element of problem solving that you just don't get making curtains!!!! Talking of curtains, I have 1 pair to make, 1 to take up & then 1 pair to join together so I may get a wriggle on!!!

A little wandering.... On the Peace Bridge.

Hello there... How is everyone??

I had the best day yesterday... I had lots of lovely comments on my how to mend a rip or tear tutorial, I had a productive dentist appointment. I now have a temporary filling with hints of a root canal on my next visit..... I hear you "WHY IS THAT GOOD" Well the good news is I have now put in motion my 2 front teeth getting crowns. I have a tongue piercing which is reeking havoc on my pearly whites!!! That and the fact that I grind my teeth like on other when I sleep!!!

Anyways..... Yesterday was another lovely crisp sunny day. Me and Frazer managed a wander over the Derry Peace Bridge, It has fantastic views over the River Foyle.

I can't wait for more of these days...

A little sunshine goes a long way!!

Hello there 

So how is everyone??

We had a lovely ACTUAL SUNNY DAY..... I shout this at you as it's been so so very long! It was cold enough, but to see sunshine makes everyone smile!!

We had a friends birthday party, which was held in a lovely wee park called "The Play Trail". It is such a great setting.

Frazer monkeying around!!

I just love the play trail, with it's views and the wee forest... It's fabby or a wanders on a sunny day.

I never managed to get any photos of Finn..... But check out his train! Quite the wee artist I say!

anyways the morning comes early with my boys, time for a cuppa and then off to bed for me!

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!

Oh this has been a long week!

I can't wait to throw the comfy's on and get down to some relaxing with the boys!

We are just back from a jaunt over to Manchester. The Townhall Square looked lovely.

As ever we had a lovely time!
