ME.... In SEW Magazine!!!!

Yes yes I'm procrastinating!!!

But in my defense.... This is some great news!!!

I was contacted last month from the editor at SEW Magazine, about a email of the child's skirt I sent in. I was told I may be in the issue....

DRUM ROLL PLEASE....

TAH-DA

And here it is close up....

I am super happy. I know it's only a 1/8 of a page but to see my wee skirt and name in a magazine... It makes me quite the happy bunny!!

On to other news...

Sewing Seams For 15 #2 is on it's way.... Here's a wee teaser!! Such a lovely fabric can't wait to show you what I'm up to!!

Sew Magazine's childs skirt for Ellie & some exciting news to come!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I've been catching up on lots of sewing this weekend, I managed to get this wee skirt finished. Ellie loves it, I'm going to applique the the tree and band to a plain while t-shirt so she can wear it as a outfit. The pattern came from sew magazine, they have a website with a list of free projects, I love this magazine every month I buy this and Burda Style. Burda style has a website that is full of inspiration and free patterns.. It's well worth a look you can register for free and post all your projects in your online studio!

I added a little fakers crochet at the bottom, I reckon it looks well! That being said I do have to work on my zig-zag stitch. But practice makes perfect! I will defo be making a few of these wee skirts but I'll be doing different applique.. Watch this space!!

I have some exciting news on the crafty front but I have to wait to let you all in on it... I am so happy to have been contacted by a certain company to work with them, it is nice to be recognised in the crafty world!!

WooooHoooo... I've been sewing!

Just a quicky whilst the boys are in the bath....

Like the title says I've been sewing today!

Here's a wee sneak peek before my Tadaaaa post!!!

There are lessons learned today.... Me and the zigzag stitch need lots of practice & always use a bobbin with one colour thread.... OR it will indeed bite you in the ass at the most unwanted time!!!

my creative space

in my creative space this week is a lovely wee tea cosy for my wonderful granny mattie she is a big part of my world i love her very much, she is about to move house and i thought i would help her with her kitchen decoration after i seen this pattern in sew magazine....... i have recently found this mag and LOVE it. i have now been buying it for about 5 months it's a fairly new mag but if your a crafty person it's defo for you

i recently found a fabric shop in called mission hall quilts it's a charity based shop that is well for crafty people but quilter's especially it has such a good variety of cotton's and I'm a lover or bargain bin's sale's etc and this is where i found this lucky cat fabric!!!!! it is designed by hoodie's collection for blank quilting 2008 www.blankquilting.com

the pin's are a fav of mine's as well they are wee heart's!!!! i bought these on eBay and i like to use them when i a making something for someone i love cheezy yes but i am ever the sentimental.
