Kimono bringing the couture sewer in me Blogtoberfest #20

Hey there, how are you all ??

I just wanted to give you a wee peek of what I'm up to.. Everyone has their own sewing style, their certain places to sew or craft (for me crochet/bead) certain projects.. I suppose, it all comes down to the space you have and how obvious you want to be your crafting in public ... That and your ability to travel with said craft....

I have started my new "sofa sewing/craft project" being that it is way to big to carry around with me..

This is a kimono I was won in a giveaway from Kerrie ~Charm & Laundry... She has a lovely wee blog running a vintage pattern giveaway right now... Click the link you know you want too!!

This is the collar (Neck)

 Lapel..

Back seam (linning)

Done!!

There are a few fixes of the past that have met my ripper already!!

 And this is the arm....

I'm working on this right now...
I love this project, it is a challenge. It is so intricate at parts, the armpits... for want of a better name!!! Were hectic but alas after much ripping and futtering I have found a way to strengthen it...

This is gonna make the gratest Christmas present.. It has been on the to-do pile for like EVER but I can now say I have the time, space and concentration required!

Do you have a project that's just sitting waiting on you?!?!

Please share!!!

PS. Remember to head on over to charm and laundry for a wee wander!!

XoXoXoX

Our lovely day out at a organic farm... Blogtoberfest #4

Blogtoberfest 2012 #4

Well that's dinner in the oven.. So I'll go for post 3!

Me and the boys were out on a friends organic farm yesterday, I have to say it was a fantastic day really relaxing and fun. It was the best day we have had for such a long time.. It's so nice to get "out of the city" I know Derry isn't big but it can seem a little hectic at times.

Our lovely friend sent us home with a whole heap of yummy veg!!

Don't you just love these shamrocks.. They are Fantastic!!

The views over at the farm are second to none.. I am always drawn to water, but I'm a Scorpio so I think it's a given that this is my kinda thing!!

Isn't this the loveliest forest... I just adore it, Frazer was full of questions... Finn had a stick and was whacking everything in sight & having a good explore!!

Now the boys know where wool comes from, how seeds are spread about the forest & how mushrooms grow... A very educational day indeed!!!!

The boys even got to harvest fresh eggs... They didn't even break them putting them in the bucket!!

I'm so happy the boys got to sit in the tractor, they were so excited when they heard we were going. All they could talk about was riding in a tractor!!!

We never really seen many cows or sheep as they were up the field... We did get to feed the hens though.

I hope you've enjoyed our day out at the farm, I'm gonna do this in 2 parts as there are sooo many good pictures. In part 2 I'll show you all the yummy food that our friend grows...

I'm going to run a bath for the boys.. School tomorrow. I hope you have enjoyed reading, we certainly had a fab day!!

Cocktails and a good friend too...

Well hello there, how have you all been?
I've been well.

Me and my friend Pauline got a wee night out, the cinema to see Arthur after a few drinks, then off to get some food in Karma I had salt and chili prawns... Yummy yummy. Cooking classes at accredited online colleges have excellent recipes for chili prawns you may want to give a go!

After our yummy dinner we had a few cocktails...
It was so nice to just be us, and not worry about the kids.
We had such a good night we were able to get out a wee boogie in too!

Here's good friends & getting the time to spend with them!

Blogtoberfest Jet-lag recovery!!!

Well hello way over there...

So yes I have been MIA for 2 weeks shame on me!
I seem to have been suffering from Blogtoberfest jet-lag!!!
To say I was exhausted is a understatement!!
But I think the mojo may just have been found, with the aid of the lovely Michelle from midge & judy.

I recently took part in The Great Stocking Swap 2010 over @ Selinas.
I had great fun with this as I got a friend for my partner :o) And the stocking I got back well you can judge for yourself!!

I can only say a massive thanx to Michelle, I mean the work that went in to this stocking.... I love it thanx so much....

Not only that but look at my wee boys faces when they opened their pressies..You hit the nail on the head, I mean look at them well chuffed!!! A woman after my own heart...To make me smile with a stocking then make my boys happy too... Gush Gush Gush....
I could not have asked for a better partner!!

I am hoping that my mojo hang around and the kids give me a little time....!

thanx mate!!

Hello there

This is a post for my friends 2 in particular.
Both of them i have not seen for years, and i mean years! We have been facebook buddies popping in and saying hi hello for ages, but now we all have more things in common.... Kids for a start, blogs & our love of music has been there from the start, to be honest it's how i met them both. They have been a wealth of help to me in the last few days.....

friend

See my new blog in all it's yummyness??? Well it's all down to Bonnie, she walked me through the whole process, and all in my comments too! This is a crafty lady well worth keeping your eye on, i say after her craft fair on Saturday coming, we will be seeing a lot more of her!!

And at the I am trying to get a hold of my English you know, crossing the Ts & dotting the Is. And so far I think I'm getting there it's a slow process, old habits and all! I could not have even begun this process without Aimee as my teacher, and facebook instant chat! Her blog is fab and is written Glaswegian.... To top off the brilliant writing, she's damn funny!!!

finn's 3rd birthday

so three years have passed and......
my wee boy Finn is growing up before my very eye's....

i mean how did he get from

here.......

to here......

i still remember him being handed to me in the hospital....
"it's a boy"
my first question was
"is he ok...."
and he was and still is and of that i am very thankful

Finn had a ball at his part and loved his house i was so happy with the turn out, I'm glad that so many of his wee friend's made it over.... they really made his day,

the cake was much enjoyed by the......... mother's, all the kid's wanted the marzipan!!!!!

saying this everyone had to wait for wee frazer too wake he's been having so much bother with the teething of late bloody back teeth are killing him the wee dote....

when everyone was away home me and the boy's had the last of the bouncy fun..... finn really did love it infact today when we woke he asked
"where bouncy????"
to that i said
"away home"
i defo found this easier than the question
" where woody"
when he opened the buzz light year !!!!!

i hope everyone is having a fab weekend
