I'm sitting catching up on some supernatural, with a cuppa, gingernuts and.....

 

 

My wee "Bonnie Birdies"....

 

These have been in the stash sine last year!!! About time I got them made up. They are named after a dear friend from back home, in Scotland. I think it all ties in nicely her name in Bonnie, women in Scotland can be called birds (slang!) with a little tartan too..

 

I can't wait to get heaps of these made up...

I have to say I'm not a Monday blues type of gal!!! It's the start of a new week, back to routine for the boys... And only only 4 sleeps till movie night with the boys!!

Blogtoberfest Jet-lag recovery!!!

Well hello way over there...

So yes I have been MIA for 2 weeks shame on me!
I seem to have been suffering from Blogtoberfest jet-lag!!!
To say I was exhausted is a understatement!!
But I think the mojo may just have been found, with the aid of the lovely Michelle from midge & judy.

I recently took part in The Great Stocking Swap 2010 over @ Selinas.
I had great fun with this as I got a friend for my partner :o) And the stocking I got back well you can judge for yourself!!

I can only say a massive thanx to Michelle, I mean the work that went in to this stocking.... I love it thanx so much....

Not only that but look at my wee boys faces when they opened their pressies..You hit the nail on the head, I mean look at them well chuffed!!! A woman after my own heart...To make me smile with a stocking then make my boys happy too... Gush Gush Gush....
I could not have asked for a better partner!!


I am hoping that my mojo hang around and the kids give me a little time....!

my juicy swap :)

a juicy swap you say

well i knew this was gonna be a good swap but this lady hit the nail on the head...

first the lovely wee handmade card :)) i love it so simple and yummy............ second talking of yummy, there is a cafe-tasse chocolate bar with my name on it with a hot cuppa when I've finished this post mmmm. third when i find my tea strainer i shall be enjoying my whittard green leaf tea, fourth 2 lovely wee post card's from the robert opie collection , fifth 2 packet's of fab bath salt's can't wait to have a relax with them. sixth (you naughty lady there was meant to be 5 thing's!!!) there is these to die for button's handmade by loogies.... i shall have to find the right project for them but for now.... i might just have to have a wee stroke... i know we all do it!!!!!

seventh & eighth are my most fav bit's your lovely handmade heart which will be pride of my notice board as will be my new soap dish i have to find a use for it other than soap?!?!?!?!? as i have a tiled bathroom!!! any idea's lovely readers????? I'm thinking maybe a pincushion holder keep it out of Finn & frazer's reach!!!!!

my list ticked....

so today has been a busy day filled with list ticking....

i met my mother in-law for a catch up, which was ace been a while since we've spent so much time together.... i am a lucky lady to have a lovely mother in-law, as so many people have bother's with theirs mine's is very thoughtful and blunt when required.... what more could i ask for :))

speaking of the lovely jean..... she bought me this a few week's ago, like i said a thoughtful woman, i live in northern Ireland and my dad is in Scotland so she bought me this so i have something to "visit" if you like. and it hit's the nail on the head something i would never have bought myself.... she understands i feel i have no stone or plaque to go to so she said do you like it? you could light a candle..... and you know what i will it now lives on my kitchen window sill and i see it everyday.

No.2 on my list was posting this to the lovely Kath who is my swap partner for Tilly's chic vintage swap ..... so looking forward to this one as i love a good rummage through the second hand shop's

and posting this for a wee fund raiser.... so sorry it's so late if your reading ... big cheesy forgive me smile is on my face right now!!!

No.3 was to try get organized for Finn's 3rd birthday on the 12th... i got all the party stuff required so..... just hand made goodies to make now

No.4 was the fixing of trouser's that we're more than over due a make over of sort's!!!

all in all i got a good lot done today..... the boy's were tuckered out!!! this is a single buggy but finn just could not stay awake so he shared frazer's buggy till i got to the bus stop then i took him out, and waited for the bus was lovely hugging him whilst he had his wee nap i got to give him kisses without him wiping then off!!

on the way to the bus stop i passed these guy's they were fab i do love live music but I'm a sucker for good drum's and these guys had them!!!!

rummaging galore

hey there folk's i missed last week so i have lot's to show and a couple of thing's i can't nudge nudge wink wink Kathy if your reading!!!!!

as ever i have book's @ 10p each!!! looking forward to making some yummy cup cake's

i found these 3 lovely picture's in a basket filled with other picture's and when i seen they were £2.69

these are for friend's Xmas pressies the necklace @ £1.50 and the wire box @ 50p which will be filled with goodies

theses are fab and are for the upstairs bathroom.... and all for £4.00 good huh!!!!

i got a wee thermal top new for the winter nights when they come!!! a pair of Thomas the tank curtain's for finn's room and a duvet cover.....

this is also a duvet cover never used.... both will be up-cycled in to pj's for Xmas!!

this was a no brainer for a friend of mines Xmas pressies @1.99 and never used either!!!

i'm late late late.........

so as i said i'm late late late....... for my pincushion swap post....... so so sorry but it's been hectic but things are now nearing "normal" again!!!!

so i tried to do the mosaic and it was not for working...... well more like i can't get my head round it at this time of night!!!! soooo here are a few of my fav's
but really i just love pin cushion's all kind's i like variety....
so another swaparooni is on my cutting table!!!!

so another Thursday is upon us :)))

time to say hi to Kristy hello there!!!

i can now put up pic's of my apron i made for the apron swap over at Sarah's

I'm glad to say my swap partner was happy with the turn out

I'm so proud of this even if the bias was a bloody nightmare!!!!

i have got my quilt top done just the border then I'm on to the back!!!!
i managed to do this only because of care thanx care :))

and last but not least in my creative space nearly every night is my crochet blanket loving this very therapeutic..... pattern is from bella

i have other bit's and bob's going on but these are the main ones.... i seem to put up to much every week so nothing new just a catch up for the next couple of weeks!!!!
