Creative space #6

Well hello there, how is everyone?
I have had a fantastic few days, Mr Phew was back, and we got a couple of nights out, which to be honest is a very rare thing, but hey that's what rearing kids is all about I'm sure! I got spoilt for Valentines.... A lovely jaunt out to my fave restaurant I do love the rocket & Parmesan salad YUMMY, a bunch of roses AND a gift that keeps giving...... Stitch magazine..... Do you know it???? The ever talented Ayumi from Pink Penguin has been featured in this ace magazine a few times and has the best tutorials for free I might add.... If you don't know Ayumi then let me tell you..... I reckon your missing out....Just go see!!!!!

So on to my creative space this week.....

I have dug out a old cardi that I started forever ago, some of you might recognize.... I have found my place in the pattern again thanx to a friend Anne and am off again!!

As for my Granny matties Scarf well it took a bit of humming and hawing. But I have decided to go for stitch No3 from the top (this one). I think I like this one best, so will be cutting out the scarf tonight and might even get the hems ironed down wish me luck!!!

I managed a few more hearts too!!

I am being a little naughty and starting a new project.... but it is for boy month!!! And the pattern is a freebie too and a print at home.... Very easy too so I'm on board!!!

my creative space 04.08.10

hello there peep's :)
so as it turn's out i love my sewing machine....
but i have found a lost love for my wooliness!!!

so my creative space is a mixed lot this week we have my granny Mattie's scarf trim coming along only 5 more row's and then I'm on to fringing!!!

my cardi is coming along.... slowly but i am desperate to get the above trim done!!!

this is a custom made coffee cozy in the making, i have made one for Cathrine my friend already but forgot the pic!!!!!

and this is 4 up-cycled tea towel's that will be a bunting for Finn & frazer's new house, Finn's birthday is on the 12th so very much need to get my ass in to gear and get decorating!!!!
please do have a look if you missed it last week i am oh so proud!!

and i have managed to pick up Finn's blanket again .... i have to say it was beginning to get a wee bit much but i have picked up the hook 3.5mm hook again and have found a rhythm....

so lovely lovely reader's what have you been up too

my creative space 22.07.10

hey there peep's thanx for stopping by.....
so my knitting is going well i am half way up the back now :))))

but i have put this on hold....

as i wanted to finish just this min i might add!!!! this being the trim for my granny Mattie's shall/scarf this is one and i have one more to do!!!! i will be using light weight linen for the scarf piece

i have exciting new's too...... Adam aka my sewing machine has been mended and i can pick him up tomorrow or friday..... i can't wait :))))
he should be running like a dream.... ahh how the absence makes the heart grow fonder huh!!!!

my creative space 14.07.2010

well hello there you lovely people!!!!!
another Wednesday night is upon me so here i have a wee bit of creativity to share with you.......

i am doing a this Wendy pattern that my local yarn shop gave me for free!!!! well i did buy the wool Wendy viva!!!!! i am so happy with it as i have not knitted in say.....15 years i have been using these video tutorials here ...... they have been more than helpful.....

so that's it this week....... i have lot's cut out for sewing but...... poor poor Adam aka my sewing machine is waiting on part's so hopefully next week i shall have some sewing goodness next week..... but until then i am glad that i have been able to pick up the knitting needles again

rummaging me?!?!?!?

so another Sunday another rummage!!!!!
this week is all about knitting needles

i got 1 pair in a second had shop and all the rest are from eBay total £15 may seem a lot but there are 37 pairs there!!! there are plastic one's long ones short ones metal ones circular one's..... i plan to send a bunch to my granny Mattie too :))))

my creative space 06.05.10

hey there pep's!!!
so i have a few things going on this week!!!!!
yes the same as last week OK!!!! but i did get my sewing-room done....
and my dress yes my tunic to dress worked out well ( i shall post it later today) the zip isn't perfect but it's all about practice and practice i shall.... i have joined the 12 month challenge this month and it's all about zips!!! the little pouch well i never got that started but will attempt it this week!

also i have joined the 1st quilt ever now this is to be a labor of love so is a long term project.....

this fabric will be a knitting needle & crochet hook roll for me and granny mattie

i also plan to use old tee's as pj bottoms for Frazer!!!

rummaging rummaging

so another Sunday another flea market find reveal!!!

this week i got a in the night garden lunch bag for the boy's @ 50p

a cup saying being a bitch & unstable is a part of my mystique @30p
the pony knitting needles were £1

i have saved the best till last as usual!!!! this lovely table is in my sewing-room and will be used to place patterns and many other wonderful sewing crafty things
my man brought this home from a friend's and said it was pretty much free, it was no longer needed so he could just take it.... not so much a flea market find but a exchange!! but i had to show it off and praise where praise is due he done me well :))))

next week i am on the hunt for knitting needles

my creative space

:) so in my creative space this week is a few thing's.... i have Kristy's creative space to thank for that because now i make time to sew !!! thanx :)

i managed to get this AND this done last week..... i even managed this too!!!!

so i feel this week i shall challenge myself!!!!!
this lovely fabric i got today as i have taken up Rea's top challenge i better get a move on it closes on the 30th!!!!! but i know exactly what I'm going to do so.... now i have to make the time...

this lovely little thing landed this morning from a lovely lady called Mary on eBay, i plan to cast off her start and give it a go i would love to be able to do my own trim on my tops :)

as part of ..my granny a day..... or two i will be using attic24's lovely and very easy to follow tutorial's to learn more i hope to use this in future design's also :)

and this i was given this evening by my mother in-law the lovely jean it's not her's!!!!! it's her granddaughters, i hope i can get it sorted as it's a fav i believe....

so the mailman was good to me again this morning..... my parcel's arrived
this is the vintage yummyness (1985) i "won" on eBay for just £2.21 ... there's 8 different types of edging

and this book i have had out of the library for month's and month's so i bought it to keep on my own book shelve it's such a good book with pattern's i go back to over and over again!!!

i only wish the seller had been more honest as she was just buying it from amazon and getting it deliverd to me ...... i suppose she's making money but well i though it was a bit off.... well i should just be happy i have the book OK i hear you!!!!!
