Finn also had much fun cleaning up much to my surprise!!!!!!

i also bought a set of 8 canvases from Argos recently which with the paints made for a fun rainy day..... that made forever memories.

bernie's jacket

so my friend needed her rain coat shortened i am semi proud of the outcome so i thought i would share!!!! firstly i ripped out the sleeves, then i ripped out a bit of the lining at the top of the arm pulled the sleeve through the whole, then pinned the arm at the desired length sewed it.....

this bit turned out great!!!!!

........... but this bit well i reckon it should have turned out better but oh well......

the oil cloth did not like to go in straight lines as i found out. so all in all it was a job sort of well done..... more practice is required. maybe interfacing should have been used ( to remover after) and a longer stitch used!!!!
if you have any tip's they will be gratefully received!!!!!

i thought i would share with you my new a4 40 page sketch book, it is 2 tone crushed silk purple (my fav colour) & deep pink it cost too much but i reckon it's well worth it.
i could have just bought a new plain sketch book but felt like treating myself!!!!! also my new pin cushion very nostalgic as it reminds me of my mother's sewing box!!! the tape measure is a old reliable one cm/inches although worn i love it..... may have something to do with it being purple too!!!!!!! i hope to be showing you some sketches soon so watch this space !!!! finger's crossed the boy's give me a chance!!!!!!!
