hello there lovely visitor's :)))))
a little late today the pinning of a quilt take's longer than expected!!!!

but i'm getting there now for the scary quilting bit!!!!!
this i shall practice tomorrow and will hopefully have something resembling a fab quilt by next week

my first pair of trousers well pj's really.... from a up-cycled from a bed sheet!!!!
there is another pair on the cutting table now :)))

and my labor of love Finn's crochet blanket is coming along nicely half way there now!!!
i will be starting frazer's as soon as I'm finished....

so today i have some exciting news
my most beautiful friend lili came back from her visit home in Paris and came to my back yard i was on the computer Finn began shouting "amme amme lady lady" to everyone else this means "mummy mummy lili lili"

she came with this lovely little bag.....

it would appear to be the place sewer go for just a little bit of heaven

lili said she had the best time she spent the day with her mother & sister touching all the lovely fabric's..... also her mum told her she used to sew which she never knew!!!! lili actually thanked me she felt she had learned new thing's about her mother and had a fab day.... her sister picked the purple fabric and i have to say i actually adore it, her sister will be over in 3 weeks and has been kind enough to offer to bring me some more over :))))

so i do believe that this is now in my list of places to go... i mean all those floors all that fabric

and look at that and that's only part of one floor!!!!!
apparently there's the loveliest little man who operates the lift and he said to fit right in with his 1950's surrounding's...

so pep's i hope you enjoyed this post as much as i did and i've helped you stumble upon a gem!!!!

back to rummaging :)

so it's been a few week's since my last showing of find's so here they are !!!!!!

this first pic is all free and from my mother-in law jean..... lot's of blankets and material and a fab Halloween decoration.... looking forward to that this year Finn and frazer will love it this year!!!!!

this is last weeks rummage and was more than ACE!!!!! a big ball of wool and it feel's lush..... a picture that made my heart skip a beat.... when i seen it was only a quid.... i was all the more happy i would have paid more too!!!! the peach fabric is printed 100% cotton and i do love the colour, also i got a couple of bit's or organza a good week!!!!

this week was OK... i got lovely blue fleece i will use for the boys pj bottom's a lovely table runner (but my heart is hankering for a few Dollie's they are no where to be seen) and 2x plastic knitting needle's!!!

all in all the mother-in law is a star and the rummaging shop's have been kind!!!!!

my creative space 23.06.10

it has been 3 weeks since my last creative space
chez Traci has been a hard work of late
BUT
i am pleased to say that i am feeling like i have a grip on things again
and have found my blogging fingers and the crafty one within is looking to burst out and do stuff!!!!!!

i have fallen behind but am now rearing to go!!!!

me and the boys were out for a walk the other day, the sun was splitting the sky and this lovely butterfly was having a walk all of it's own..... in the grass!!!

i'm late late late.........

so as i said i'm late late late....... for my pincushion swap post....... so so sorry but it's been hectic but things are now nearing "normal" again!!!!

so i tried to do the mosaic and it was not for working...... well more like i can't get my head round it at this time of night!!!! soooo here are a few of my fav's
but really i just love pin cushion's all kind's i like variety....

banana cake victory!!!!!

so so........
i have now managed to win the fight with my oven!! and i now have a fully cooked golden brown banana cake.....

this cake is a winner with the kid's as-well as the creche staff that the boy's go to and all the thanx must go to vicki for this fab recipe
as a beginner baker this was a good change from cookies!!!
this is the first of many victories i shall have with this cake
