fix-it-friday 01.05.2010

so this fix it friday was all about patches!!!
& sewing-room fairy's!!!

this bear has been in need for mending for about say 4-5 years I've loved it form a distance say on top of my wardrobe!!! but Frazer seen it so i figured fix it friday.... I'm on my way!!!

next for patching was my lovely buggy snuggle blanket!!!!!

and then my granny matties lovely crochet blanket too..... both got caught under the wheels much to my ignorance till i came home and said........ "oh noooo"

so here we go..... patches :)))))
happy Traci !!!! the patches are from a thrift find long ago.... yes a bed sheet!!!!

AND NOW FOR THE SEWING ROOM!!!!!!!!!!

so here is where my writing desk and over-locker table are meant to be!!!!

tada...... so it's more like organized chaos now!!!!

this is what has spurred me om my man got me a cutting table yes to other people this is just a old dining table but to me it's a hell of a lot more!!!

fix-it-friday 23.04.2010

hey there well it's been a busy week at chez Traci......
and I'm pretty tuckered out just now!!! so this will be short but sweet.... :) x

my oven is shameful or should i say was shameful.... it took about 2 hours of soaking in biological soap powder and lot's of elbow grease to clean this baby up!!!!!

but here it is nice and shinny so I'm happy i took the time to do it i didn't realize it was so bad!!!!!!

also i was given this top to fix for my niece as it's a one of her fav's such a horrible fabric to work with when it's so ripped too!!!!!

but i reckon she should get a bit more wear out of it now .....
and it gave me some more practice :)

hey there and welcome to my latest installment to my fix-it-friday check out maya*made blog she is the creator of fif...... she's very much a do-er my kinda woman!!! and has given me the the get up & go i needed to sort out a rather long list of "thing's " to sort out......
so today we have a rug not the most exciting you say huh...... well i would tend to agree but i do get in to thing's when i get started, and this fif is meant to be to fix the old and battered and not waste money & buy new.....

here is the rug might not look that bad but up close..... well let's just say not so good!!!! also i actually hovered this rug within a inch of it's life 35mins it took to get off all manners of toddler stain's..... banana, fruit puree, milk, sudocrem (which Frazer got a hold of this morning & decided it looked good on my much loved rug!) to name but a few believe me this task worked up a sweat!!!!!

Frazer had a ball with the flex from the hoover.......

& Finn came down for a visit too wee poser!!!!

but this is the final result, i am very proud of the outcome, I'm glad too because this took no less than 2 hour's..... and with a dish brush + a spray filled with nearly boiling water & some Daz...
i only wish that my partner hadn't come back and say good job.... by the way i have ordered a steam cleaner for next weekend we cam sort out the carpet...... phff you couldn't make it up we've needed the carpet done forever!!!!! well all that being said I'm still glad i got it done the chances are if i didn't do it then the cleaner wouldn't have been on order!!!!!!

fix-it-friday

so here it is my fix-it-Friday..... it was done on Saturday.....and put up on Monday. kid's who'd have em!!!! the concept comes from maya*made i don't know how to do link's yet please bear with me!!!! i have tried and hope it works!!!! basically on a Friday do one of the many thing's within your life that you deem as needing fixed..... i needed this kitchen drawer fixed

firstly it was a mess!!!!

secondly the front was about to fall off!!!!

so my eldest Finn was away at his granny, so i had the help of my wee guy Frazer!!! so with no more nails and 3 nails just to be sure the drawer was fixed!!!

and i manage to clear out the drawer.......

and am very happy with the result......
i am now writing out a list of things to do
